Baptism and Membership
We believe that God is powerfully at work in the church today. We believe that, when believers meet together and pray together, we can discern the will of God. Through prayer and a right understanding of the Bible we can know how God wants us to live.
From our understanding of what the Bible teaches, only when a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour can they meaningfully be baptised. As believers we are part of the “universal church”. We share common beliefs with all Christian groups and denominations. Baptism is the public and physical demonstration proclaiming what we believe.
Becoming a Member of the local church is the next logical step for all believers. We are called to live and support each other in fellowship. Being a Member of the church means taking responsibility for the way the local church conducts itself and actively participating in the life of the church.
