2 Peter 1:5-9  The Message
5-9 So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can’t see what’s right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

A NOTE TO ALL GROUP LEADERS
Will you please ensure the Church is left clean and tidy after your session ready for the next group who wish to use our facilities.

Dates for your Diary

Sunday 9th July. Church Meeting – Important Notice
The church rules currently read:

4.1 The routine business of the church shall be transacted at the meetings held once every two months, if necessary this interval maybe increased occasionally to three or reduced to one month. One fifth of the number of members shall form a quorum. Notice of these meetings shall be given at each service of the preceding Sunday. Agreed decisions require a simple majority

There is a proposal suggesting wording along the lines of:

4.1 The routine business of the church shall be transacted at meetings held once every three months.  If necessary that interval of time can be reduced to one month or two months. One fifth of the number of members shall form a quorum. Notice of these meetings shall be given at each service of the preceding Sunday. Agreed decisions require a simple majority

There will be a vote on this change for all attending members

Saturday 22nd July

Junior Outback are happy to announce another charity event in aid of LIV!

On Saturday the 22nd of July, we are hosting a evening of food, silly games and live music! Join us at Halton Baptist Church from 6-8pm.

Make sure you bring extra money for sweets, drinks, and a craft auction! There will be a Bake Off, so bring some cakes to potentially win an awesome prize!

All of the money raised goes directly to the LIV Project in South Africa, which gives orphaned children a home, a mother who loves them, and an education. http://www.soulaction.org/projects/south-africa-projects/liv/

Everyone is welcome, especially families and children. Tickets are £1 each (See Annie Matthews for yours!). Also see Annie if you would like to enter the Bake Off!
